Samsung fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming Unpacked event, set for January 22, where the company is expected to reveal its 2025 flagship trio: the Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25, and S25+.

However, the anticipated fourth member, the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Slim, will likely miss the spotlight in January and is now rumoured for a May debut.

The latest rumours surfaced on Chinese social media platform Weibo, where an unnamed leaker suggested that the Galaxy S25 Slim would be officially launched sometime in May.

This leaker isn't among the most recognised sources, so the information should be taken with caution, though the timeline seems plausible given the absence of substantial leaks regarding the device’s readiness.

Recent benchmark leaks suggest that the phone is still in development, while earlier findings in the One UI 7 Beta code hinted that the S25 Slim could launch in Q2 2025, which spans April to June.

With an expected thickness of just 6.5mm, the Galaxy S25 Slim is rumoured to bridge the gap between the S25 Plus and Ultra models in terms of display size.

Leaks indicate the phone may sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the S25 Slim might feature advanced silicon-carbon battery technology to maintain a slim profile while ensuring a battery capacity of around 5,000mAh.

This new addition to the Galaxy S25 series will face tough competition from Apple’s expected iPhone 17 Air, which is also rumoured to be even slimmer at 5.5mm. While both devices have yet to be confirmed, the trend towards thinner smartphones is becoming increasingly apparent.

Samsung enthusiasts are hoping for a teaser during the January event, which could offer more insight into what they can expect from the Galaxy S25 Slim.
